International conference organized by the 4EU+ network “Plurality of Memories” in collaboration with the University of Clermont Ferrand.

This conference aims to develop and enrich a reflection on the landscapes that witnessed scenes of extreme violence during the 19th and 20th centuries. It extends a series of works including studies, creations, and the production of the travelling exhibition “Landscapes of Memory” presented at the Malesherbes University Center (November 2019), at the Museum of the Armenian Heritage Center of Valence (January 15-June 10, 2021) and at the INSPE Clermont Auvergne (November 9, 2021-January 31, 2022) and for which a special issue of the journal Memories at stake (N° 11, Summer 2020) published the catalog.
Some of the presentations are in English, most of the French presentations will be translated into English simultaneously.
